Unhappiness into Openness

Common unhappiness is trending yet such an unnecessary commodity.

In Studies on Hysteria (1895) co-wrote with Josef Breuer, Sigmund Freud wrote about “transforming the hysterical misery into common unhappiness” a suffering Gautama Buddha invited us to get rid of making use of the Octuple Method, the Eightfold Path and the Chakras. This Middle Way leads to six conditions of consciousness that are insight, wisdom, calmness, higher knowledge, enlightenment and nirvana. He ― Gautama Buddha ― then, proceeded to teach us, his disciples, the Four Noble Truths:
  1. First, that life is dukkha, “suffering.”
  2. Second, that the cause of this suffering is tanha, “desire” or “craving.”
  3. Third, that suffering will cease when the craving that causes it is forsaken and overcome. This state of liberation through the cessation of suffering leads to nirvana, which means literally extinction or blowing out — the blowing-out of the not-self.
  4. The Fourth Noble Truth is that the way to this liberation is through living the Noble Eightfold Path, or the Middle Way.

आर्याष्टाङ्गमार्ग (Āryāṣṭāṅgamārga) refers to “eight members of the noble path” according to the 2nd-century महाप्रज्ञापारमिताशास्त्र (Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra) known as the “perfection of wisdom sūtra” Chapter XXXI. Accordingly, the eight members are as follows:
  1. right view (samyagdṛṣṭi),
  2. right thought (samyaksaṃkalpa),
  3. right speech (samyagvāc),
  4. right action (samyakkarmānta),
  5. right livelihood (samyagājīva).
  6. right effort (samyagvyāyāma),
  7. right attentiveness (samyaksmṛti),
  8. right concentration (samyaksamādhi).

These eight right paths (samyagmārga) are arranged into three groups (skandha):
  1. the class of morality (śīlaskandha) [samyagvāc, samyakkarmānta, samyagājīva],
  2. the class of concentration (samādhiskandha) [samyagvyāyāma, samyaksmṛti, samyaksamādhi],
  3. the class of wisdom (prajñāskandha) [samyagdṛṣṭi, samyaksaṃkalpa].

The Eightfold Path of Gautama Buddha
  1. The first step on the Eightfold Path is to have the right understanding or right views.
  2. The second is the right aspiration, right thought, or right resolve.
  3. The third is right speech.
  4. The fourth is right action or right conduct.
  5. The fifth is the right livelihood.
  6. The sixth is right effort.
  7. The seventh is right mindfulness,
  8. The eighth is right concentration or right absorption.
These eight points of self-mastery are also the endowment of the Holy Christ Self. Putting these attributes on, in daily striving and attentiveness to the precepts of the Law, we do put on the robes of righteousness of our True Self. We put on our deathless solar body, which Christ referred to as the wedding garment. Thus we weave this wedding garment by the practice of the eight right attitudes.

STOP process. STOP the own self-caused suffering:
  • S = “See what I am doing to myself.” Self-awareness is essential for change.
  • T = “Take charge and make the decision to change.” Research shows that when one makes the conscious decision to change, he/she is more likely to be successful.
  • O = “Brainstorm our Options and choose one to try.”
  • P = Practice. The more we repeat a new behaviour, the more habitual it will become.

和大怨,必有餘怨;安可以為善?
是以聖人執左契,而不責於人。
有德司契,無德司徹。
天道無親,常與善人

After calming great anger
There are always resentments left over.
How can this be considered as goodness?
Therefore the sage keeps her part of the deal
And doesn't check up on the other person.
Thus virtuous officials keep their promise
And the crooked ones break it.
The Heavenly Way has no favourites:
It raises up the Good.

Dao De Ching Chapter 79 ― Arthur Waley (To requite injuries with good deeds.)

To allay the main discontent,
But only in a manner that will certainly produce further discontents can hardly be called successful.

Therefore the Sage behaves like the holder of the left-hand tally,
Who stays where he is and does not go around making claims on people.

For he who has the “power” of Dào is the Grand Almoner;
He who has not the “power” is the Grand Perquisitor.
“It is Heaven's way, without distinction of persons,
To keep the good perpetually supplied.

Dao De Ching Chapter 79 ― James Legge (Adherence to bond or covenant)

When a reconciliation is effected (between two parties) after a great animosity, there is sure to be a grudge remaining (in the mind of the one who was wrong). And how can this be beneficial (to the other)?
Therefore (to guard against this), the sage keeps the left-hand portion of the record of the engagement and does not insist on the (speedy) fulfilment of it by the other party. (So), he who has the attributes (of the Dao) regards (only) the conditions of the engagement, while he who has not those attributes regards only the conditions favourable to himself.
In the Way of Heaven, there is no partiality of love; it is always on the side of the good man.

老子大師寫:“我說過 ‘天道無親,常與善人’。

“這看起來又是一句自相矛盾的話——既然天道無親無疏、不偏不倚,那爲什麽偏偏要優待善人呢?
“其實我的意思是:天道就像一面鏡子,會把人們發射的能量反射回去。你發射什麽,它就反射什麽,絕無偏私。
“每個人的思想、話語、行爲都在向周圍放射著一圈一圈的能量波,就像朝外不斷擴散的漣漪。而天道就像這個場域外圍的一道屏障,所有能量波撞上這道屏障後都會被反彈回去,返回其出發點。
“天道不會對那些能量波進行任何評判,只是將其原樣反射。這就像你和一個對手打乒乓球——你發出一個球,對方便將其打回給你。你和宇宙、天道之間也在一來一往地打著球。這‘球賽’一直在進行。
“在這場持久的‘球賽’中,善人會得到好處。因爲他發出的善念、說出的善言、做出的善行,都在向宇宙發出高頻、美好、正向的能量波,而宇宙會以更大的力道把這些正向能量波返還給他,于是他的生活中便會出現許多光明、美好的事物和境遇。而一個人如果發出惡念、說出惡言、做出惡行,則遲早會被返回的負面能量波所淹沒。
“在高維世界中,一切都以很高的頻率運作,因此能量發射與返回的過程也非常快速,幾乎可以說在瞬間就達成了。所以高維存有都很清楚:自己發出的意念會顯化到自己身上,必須管控好自己的思維。
“而在稠密、低頻的三維世界,這個過程進行得比較緩慢,其結果的出現會有一些延遲,因而人們時常覺得善人並沒有得到善報、惡人也沒有嘗到惡果。這只是因爲人們沒有看到能量波從發射到返回的完整過程。這個過程有時要在某人的若干生世後才會完成。
“現在地球和人類都在發生巨大轉化,這裏的振動頻率在迅速提高,顯化的速度也在日益加快。
“一般來說,意識層次、振動頻率越高的人,其發送的能量波也會越快返回到自己身上。所以靈性修行者們要格外當心了,要謹慎管理好你們的思、言、行,否則很快就會嘗到惡果。
“希望人們明白這個原理後,能夠善加運用,盡量讓自己成爲正向、美好的能量發射器。”
