Edgar Cayce, known as The Sleeping Prophet, taught through his readings that the lines of The Lord’s Prayer in fact correlated with the seven major chakras, and stated that the recitation of and meditation upon this prayer was a way by which an individual might bring these chakras into health and balance.

Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come Thy will be done in earth as __ it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our debts as __ we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
Délivrez-nous de la tentation et du mal
Óti soú estin i vasileía kaí i dýnamis kaí i dóxa eis toús aiónas.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever
Amen

For if ye forgive men their trespasses your heavenly Father will also forgive you
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses

The following breaks down the lines of the prayer as well as the specific chakras they impact. Each line is colour-coordinated based on the colour associated with the chakra to which it relates, in order to facilitate visualization during meditation.

चक्र cakrá, “wheel, circle, point” ARE centres of consciousness

According to Edgar Cayce, the ability of a human being to prolong their life depends on the proper functioning of the endocrine system. The glands, Edgar Cayce said, were “that which enables the body, physically throughout to reproduce itself.” The glandular system also, according to Cayce, serves as the physical point of contact between a person’s nervous system and his or her “spiritual bodies.” The readings identified seven glands which are also referred to as seven centres, or “chakras,” which act as both growth centres for the physical body and major spiritual centres.
These seven are
        1. the gonads
        2.  the cells of Leydig or Leyden
        3. the adrenals,
        4. the thymus,
        5. the thyroid,
        6. the pineal,
        7. the pituitary.
