宇宙の再 (うちゅうのさいでんり、 Cosmic reionization)宇宙的再

For the first 300,000 years after the Big Bang, the rapidly expanding universe was 玄 dark and filled with neutral hydrogen gas doing nothing much.

Light Show

重離 『重 ㄔㄨㄥˊ』 revisited

But over the next half billion years, the first stars and galaxies arrive through a process known as re-ionization – turning the lights on in the universe when the very first light illuminated it. This dramatic moment occurred sometime in the interval between 300 million years and one billion years after the Big Bang. Before that re-ionization, the first stars and galaxies were very hard to see/observe because their light is scattered by gas between galaxies, like a car's headlights in fog.

Last scattering: The universe was dark for 300 million years and will remain a closed book
CMB Surface of Last Scatter

The cosmic microwave background radiation's "surface of last scatter" is analogous to the light coming through the clouds to our eyes on a cloudy day.

When we observe the microwave background sky we look back to when there were free electrons that could readily scatter cosmic background radiation. This cosmic background "cloud surface" is called the "surface of last scatter". If there were any "features" imprinted in this surface of last scatter (i.e.- regions that were brighter or dimmer than average) they will remain imprinted to this day because emitted light travels across the universe largely unimpeded.

Reion diagram

Reionization is the second of two major phase transitions of gas in the universe — the first is Recombination — while the majority of baryonic matter in the universe is in the form of hydrogen and helium, reionization usually refers strictly to the reionization of hydrogen, the element. Hence it is the process that caused matter in the universe to reionize after the lapse of the "dark ages". It is believed that the primordial helium also experienced the same phase of reionization changes, but at different points in the history of the universe. This is usually referred to as helium reionization.

In cosmology, recombination refers to the epoch at which charged electrons and protons first became bound to form electrically neutral hydrogen atoms. Recombination occurred about 370,000 years after the Big Bang (at a redshift of z = 1100) or at a redshift z = 1089 (379,000 years after the Big Bang), due to the cooling of the universe to the point where the rate of recombination of electrons and protons to form neutral hydrogen was higher than the reionization rate. The word "recombination" — per se — is misleading, since the Big Bang theory does not posit that protons and electrons had been combined before — but the name exists for historical reasons since it was named before the Big Bang hypothesis became the primary theory of the creation of the universe.

וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֖ים יְהִ֣י אֹ֑ור וַֽיְהִי־אֹֽור׃
“Let there be light,” and there was light."
Genesis 1:3

 The First Day

Now the earth* was תֹ֙הוּ֙ ṯō-hū (formless) וָבֹ֔הוּ wā-ḇō-hū (and void) formless and void, and darkness** was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good, and (S)He separated the light from the darkness.…

Cross-reference
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
