歸藏 "Return to the Hidden"

Guīcáng ⇨ a divination text dating to the Zhou dynasty, which was once used in place of the 易 Ching. The text of 歸藏 Guī cáng was rediscovered in a rural bog in 1993; it had been lost for roughly two thousand years.

歸藏 Guī cáng contains all the sixty-four hexagrams and stories, relating to each of them. For example, Hexagram 54 of 易, "Returning Maiden" 歸妹 (guī mèi) or "Converting the Maiden", is accompanied by the story of how the maiden 嫦娥: Cháng'é, stole the medicine of immortality from the 西王母 Xīwángmǔ 「瑤池金母」 and, upon returning home, used the hexagrams to determine that she should flee to the moon.

《歸藏易》

《歸藏》，又名《龜藏》，據中國古籍記載為占卜的三種方法（三易）之一，號稱《歸藏易》。

"Guīcáng", also known as "Gui Zang", is recorded as one of the three methods of divination (three changes) according to ancient Chinese books, known as "Gui Zang Yi".

相傳歸藏之名出於黃帝（又稱歸藏氏）。文字記載出於商朝，但相較於《周易》，《歸藏》內容早已散佚而不完整。現存有歸藏卦（歸藏八卦圖），為伏羲八卦之衍生（旋轉一百八十度而成，伏羲八卦以乾卦為上，而《歸藏》以坤卦為首）。

According to legend, the name of Guīcáng comes from Huangdi (also known as Guīcáng clan). The written record is from the Shang Dynasty, but compared to the Zhouyi, the content of Guīcáng has long been scattered and incomplete. Existing Guīcáng Trigrams (Guīcáng Eight Trigrams) are derived from Fuxi Eight Trigrams (revolved one hundred and eighty degrees, Fuxi Eight Trigrams are based on Qian Gua, and "Guizang" is headed by Kun Trigram).

風水的歸藏法，是將室內平面圖按後天八卦畫成九宮格式。然後將其氣口（大門）所在宮位，與各宮位歸藏，以定出各宮吉祥。

歸藏的方法很簡單，將兩個卦橫向平行比較，看上中下三爻的陰陽，用歸藏法得出新爻，組成新卦。兩個卦經過歸藏後，其變化有四種：

例如，大門為正南方，按後天八卦為離卦，用離卦與各方位歸藏。

如查本卦屋內西北方吉凶，用離卦與乾卦歸藏得坎卦，查上圖坎宮為絕命，西北方即為絕命兇方。再查屋內東方震卦吉凶，用離卦與震卦歸藏得艮卦，再查上圖艮宮為生氣，該宅東方即為生氣大吉。餘可以類推
